The Mk2 2.4, 3.4 and 3.8 were fitted with the B type head. The problem occurs with the inlet manifold and radiator , which is different. If the current engine has the B type head then fitting an engine like a 4.2 will not be a direct replacement. The radiator on the 240 and 340 is different from the Mk2; the top hose is at a different angle.
